1. Introduction & Scope
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ridoos eBook platform, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By registering, subscribing, or accessing any content, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms.
If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the Service.
2. Subscription Plan & Access
Ridoos offers a monthly recurring subscription that grants you unlimited access to our digital eBook collection for personal, non-commercial use.
- ✅ Active subscription required — content access is provided only during the subscription term.
- ✅ Monthly billing cycle — each subscription period equals one calendar month from the sign-up or renewal date.
- ✅ Trial or promotional offers (if available) are subject to separate terms and automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before trial ends.
💡 Heads up: Downloaded eBooks may become inaccessible after your subscription expires. We recommend reading online or keeping backups only for personal reference as permitted by law.
3. Payment & Billing Information
- Secure processing — all payments are encrypted and processed via trusted third-party payment gateways (Razorpay/Stripe, etc.). Ridoos does not store full card details.
- Advance billing — subscription fees are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle (every 30 days).
- Auto-debit (auto-renewal) — if you enable auto-payment, the recurring fee will be automatically deducted using your saved payment method. You can disable auto-renewal anytime via account settings.
- Taxes & fees — applicable taxes (e.g., GST, VAT) will be added to the subscription price where required by law.
4. Subscription Renewal & Cancellation
- 🔄 Automatic renewal — your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before the renewal date.
- ✖️ How to cancel — you may cancel anytime through your Account Dashboard > Subscriptions > Cancel Plan. No phone or email cancellation is required, but you may contact support for assistance.
- ⏳ Access after cancellation — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You will retain full reading access until that date; no refunds for unused days.
- 📩 Cancellation confirmation — after canceling, you will receive a confirmation email. Keep it for your records.
5. Refund Policy
- 🚫 All subscription fees are non-refundable — we do not provide refunds or credits for partially used monthly periods, regardless of usage frequency.
- ⚠️ Exceptions (rare) — in cases of technical error causing duplicate charges, or if the service was entirely unavailable for an extended period, refunds may be considered at Ridoos’ sole discretion. Please contact support within 7 days.
- 🔄 No refunds for change of mind — if you decide you no longer wish to read eBooks, or find the collection not suitable, cancellations stop future payments but do not trigger refunds.
6. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
As a subscriber, you agree to the following obligations:
- 🔒 Keep credentials confidential — you are fully responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
- 🚫 No redistribution or resale — you may not share, sell, transfer, or publicly display any eBooks or excerpts from the platform.
- 📵 No scraping / bulk download — automated scripts, crawlers, or any attempt to extract the entire eBook catalog is strictly prohibited.
- ⚖️ Comply with laws — you must use the service in accordance with applicable local, national, and international laws.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All eBooks, cover images, typographical arrangements, metadata, and underlying code are the exclusive property of Ridoos or its content licensors, protected under Indian and international copyright treaties.
- 📚 Limited license — we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and read eBooks solely for your personal, non-commercial use.
- ✍️ No derivative works — you may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from any eBook content.
- ⚠️ Violation consequences — unauthorized copying or distribution may lead to immediate termination of your account and legal action.
8. Account Suspension or Termination
Ridoos reserves the right to suspend, limit, or permanently terminate your subscription and access to the Service in the following circumstances:
- ❌ Violation of these Terms — including sharing login details, copyright infringement, or abusive behavior.
- 💰 Repeated payment failures — if automatic billing fails multiple times and you do not update payment details within 7 days.
- 🕵️ Fraudulent or suspicious activity — such as using stolen payment methods, chargeback abuse, or attempting to bypass geo-restrictions via VPN abuse.
- 📢 Extended inactivity (for non-payment trials) — accounts with outstanding dues may be locked.
In case of termination for cause, no refund will be issued. You may appeal by contacting our support team.
9. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive to deliver a seamless reading experience 24/7, but technology is not infallible. Ridoos does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access at all times.
- 🔧 Maintenance — scheduled downtime will be communicated in advance when possible, but emergency updates may occur without notice.
- 📖 Content changes — titles in our library may be added, removed, or updated based on publisher licenses. We are not liable if a specific eBook becomes unavailable during your subscription.
- 🌍 Geographic restrictions — some content may not be accessible in all regions due to publishing rights.
10. Changes to Terms & Conditions
Ridoos reserves the right to revise or update these Terms at any time to reflect legal changes, new features, or business practices.
When we make material changes, we will notify you via email (to the address linked to your account) or via a prominent notice on the platform at least 14 days in advance.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you disagree, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ridoos, its affiliates, employees, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.
📌 Note: Nothing in this section excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or death/personal injury caused by our willful misconduct.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations.
If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New Delhi, India.
